Dog Boarding: questions we are often asked
Where will my dog stay?
In our own home in Swift Current — never a kennel. We keep boarding intentionally small and only look after a few pets at a time.
Are you licensed and trained in pet first aid?
Yes. Bark Buddy is licensed by the City of Swift Current (business licence No. 5587), and both Perry and Parin hold Canadian Red Cross First Aid for Dogs and Cats certificates (Perry No. 106503049, Parin No. 106495876, both valid until October 2028). You can check them on the Red Cross website.
How much does dog boarding cost?
$50 per 24 hours. Each extra dog from the same home is $25 per 24 hours.
What should I bring?
Your dog’s food, treats, any medication and a favourite comfort item.
Will I hear from you while I am away?
Yes. We send photos and little check-ins throughout the stay, so you can relax knowing your dog is happy and comfortable.
What if I pick up early or drop off late?
Early pick-ups and late drop-offs do not change the booking that was reserved.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please let us know as early as you can. Cancellations within 7 days of the booking may be subject to a fee, as the space is held exclusively for your dog.
