About us
Hello — we’re Perry and Parin.
Bark Buddy began with something simple: we love animals, and we kept meeting pet owners in Swift Current who had nowhere they really trusted to leave them.
So we started doing it properly, from our own home and for only a small number of pets at a time. Not a facility, and not a kennel — just two people who will notice straight away if your dog goes quiet or your cat stops eating.
We understand how much trust it takes to hand someone your key and your pet. That’s why every booking starts with a free visit, and why you’ll hear from us with photos while you’re away rather than nothing at all.
How we look after your pets
You are never left wondering
Photos and updates go out during every stay, so you can see your pet settled rather than simply hoping they are.
Thoughtful about introductions
We ask about vaccinations, medication and temperament before every booking, because the other pets staying with us deserve that same care.

Licensed by the City of Swift Current
Bark Buddy holds a City of Swift Current business licence, No. 5587.
Both of us are pet first aid certified
Perry and Parin each hold a Canadian Red Cross First Aid for Dogs and Cats certificate (Perry No. 106503049, Parin No. 106495876), both valid until October 2028. You can check them on the Red Cross website.
